Connecting, disconnecting, and exactly what gets sent
Truehand is a suite of trade apps — ProCut for landscaping, Boat Detailer Pro for marine,
DieselDoc Pro for heavy truck, and more. Every one of them can send your invoices and payments
straight to QuickBooks Online, so your books stay current without re-typing anything.
How to connect
Open your Truehand app and sign in as the business owner.
Tap the gear icon (⚙) to open Settings.
Scroll to 📗 QuickBooks and tap Connect QuickBooks.
Sign in to Intuit, choose the QuickBooks company you want, and approve access.
You'll land back in your app, connected.
Connecting is optional. Every app works fully without it.
How to disconnect
Open your Truehand app and tap the gear icon (⚙).
Scroll to 📗 QuickBooks.
Tap Disconnect QuickBooks and confirm.
Disconnecting revokes our access at Intuit immediately. Anything already sent stays in your
QuickBooks company — it's your record, and you decide whether to keep it. You can also remove
the connection from the QuickBooks side under Apps → Connected apps.
What gets sent
Customers — name, email, phone and billing address
Invoices — line items, amounts and dates, as billed
Payments — recorded against the invoice they pay
What does not happen
Nothing comes back. The sync is one-way; QuickBooks never overwrites your app data.
We don't touch records we didn't create. Your existing books are left alone.
We don't dump your history in. By default only work invoiced from the day you connect
forward is sent, so connecting can't duplicate what your bookkeeper already entered.
Nothing is billed twice. A job paid by deposit then balance posts the balance, not the
full amount again — and re-running a sync sends nothing new.
We're not your accountant. Truehand doesn't give accounting or tax advice. Review what
lands in your books.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, not through QuickBooks. We record a matching payment in
QuickBooks so the invoice shows as paid and your books balance.
